We’re a small, family-run joinery workshop based in Cockfield, just outside Bury St Edmunds. For over 26 years we’ve been making bespoke timber joinery for homes, builders and businesses across Suffolk and much further afield, combining traditional skills with a workshop equipped for everything from the straightforward to the unusual.

Being a family business has always shaped the way we work. We’ve never measured the importance of a job by its size.
Sometimes you need just one piece. Something repaired, replaced, matched or made especially for you.
Those jobs have always been part of AJ Joinery, and they always will be.
Whatever you need, however small, it’s welcome through our workshop door.
Our home is Cockfield, a Suffolk village just outside Bury St Edmunds, where our family business has been making joinery for over 26 years.
Our logo is inspired by the legend of King Edmund. After his death, a wolf is said to have guarded his head until it could be reunited with his body, becoming an enduring part of the story and identity of Bury St Edmunds.
For us, the wolf represents loyalty, strength and protection, values that feel very much at home in a family business built here in Suffolk, making joinery for projects both close to home and much further afield.
